Jacob was recently interviewed by CNN about the family dynamics that may be occurring between at-home college students and their parents while sheltering-in-place, together.

“College is a time for identity exploration, and students may have experienced a level of freedom and autonomy they've never had before, said Jacob Priest, a family therapist and assistant professor at the University of Iowa's College of Education. That journey into adulthood may have excited students because it offered so many possibilities. When it's taken away, it can feel very disorienting, he added.”
