Season 5 Episode 1: The Science of Love Languages

In this episode, we focus on new science on the ever-popular Love Languages (Chapman, 1992) by Drs. Anthony Coy and Lindsey Rodriguez out of University of South Florida. Their new Journal of Marital and Family Therapy paper titled, “Affection Preference, Enactment, and Relationship Satisfaction: A Dyadic Analysis of Love Languages” helps us understand how our preferred Love Language can affect our understanding of our partner’s preferred Love Language. We discuss whether the key may just be: better communication.
